To complain about my cuticles bleeding during my manicure?

I went to a salon to get a manicure, I've been a few times for manicures and pedicures. They trim cuticles but I've never had any pain. This time though they cut the cuticles of my hand really close to the skin which was painful, it resulted in three of my fingers bleeding. One of the fingers was quite a bad cut and wouldn't stop bleeding for 10+ minutes. They feel tender/painful and I'm worried about the risk of infection. They cleaned the cuts with acetone.

I'm really bad at confrontation so I just paid and left, but now I'm wondering whether I should send them an email? I think the nail technician was just way too rough with the cuticle clippers.

I think this will be the last time I go for a manicure, I'd rather just do them myself.

Bump. I've also now noticed they have filed my nails way too short and have filed the pink part of my nails (not sure what that's called). They all feel sore and raw from being way too short

I don't know whether to complain or not, I'm not sure if bleeding during manicures is a normal occurence. I'm also concerned that they painted my bleeding nail with nail polish that will be used with subsequent customers?
