OK not an AIBU so shoot me now, there's probably some tech board in a dark corner of mumsnet but I don't know where it is. I'm trying to move my old WhatsApp chats over from a rather old iPhone to an android phone, I've been googling and know I need a wire to do this and know which one I need to buy, great. The issue I have is I only have 1 sim card and phone number, basically the one I'm moving across so my question is anyone who has successfully done this which phone was your sim in when you did the transfer? The video I watched on YouTube said to make sure the phone number was changed on the old phone before transferring??? but if I did that surely it'd wipe my chat (and Id need another sim card)? I don't want to just guess and inadvertently delete the lot! Any help very welcome, thanks 😊.
