Dog is fast asleep and showing no sign of wanting a walk. DH out cycling till lunchtime. We were out with friends last night. I’m sat looking at the garden with a cup of tea and a cat on my lap.

the garden is 6s and 7s as had to move everything to allow access for new greenhouse, I need to shop for family coming round for tea tonight…

but I could really just sit here with biggest worry how I get cat to move so I can make more tea…

YANBU. Take it where you can get it. My weekend's like a bloody flow-chart of activity and it makes me smile to think of you sitting in the sun pondering the removal of your cat.

FeelingConcerned · 24/07/2022 09:36

Do it! And get a takeaway with family tonight so no need to shop. Or use deliveroo etc for essentials. Enjoy it, sounds nice.

Savour every moment of your relaxed morning!

Ffsmakeitstop · 24/07/2022 09:44

Why not? I got up at 7 o clock, had two lots of washing out by 7.30 have been sat watching TV and reading mn for the last two hours and am now about to make my third coffee.
I work hard so I deserve it. Enjoy it

We need to stop valuing ourselves and other people by our productivity.

XmasElf10 · 24/07/2022 09:53

I have a chest infection but am feeling slightly better.. I could get up but I just do t want to. I’ll join you in spending the morning just sitting!

figmaofmyimagination · 24/07/2022 09:55

There’s always loads to do, and most of the time if we don’t do it… nobody dies and the world keeps on turning, so I say enjoy a lazy Sunday and order pizza tonight!

Mooloolabababy · 24/07/2022 09:59

Been up since 7 to drop dc at work, am currently sat with a cuppa and some biscuits watching McDonald and Dodds on itv player. I have a million things to do but im not ready to start them yet!

BarrelOfOtters2 · 24/07/2022 10:17

A million things I could do. But I think sitting and contemplating the garden is a valid thing. More tea?

Lucky you! It's pouring down here. Need to go shopping then take dc swimming.

sittingonacornflake · 24/07/2022 10:26

I'm sat snuggled on the sofa with DS watching Netflix.

Also contemplating a cup of tea.

I do need to give the kitchen a quick clean though.

Maybe I will do that first and have tea at 11.

QueSyrahSyrah · 24/07/2022 10:34

Same! It's a gorgeous sunny day here but we're just back from a tiring and very hot city break and right now the idea of being suncream greasy and sweaty again if we go out isn't appealing, so I'm lying on our bed with the blinds closed scrolling MN.

Blinkingheckythump · 24/07/2022 10:37

I mean that's literally what Sunday mornings are for, so nope yanbu

mrsbyers · 24/07/2022 10:37

Just chill !

Sunday mornings are my time , hubbie has a few beers on a Saturday night and a long lie in which gives me time to make myself a nice breakfast and potter around or watch my guilty pleasure 90 day fiancé - if he stirs early I feel cheated !

BoxOfCats · 24/07/2022 10:58

But even if you wanted to you can't move. You're in-cat-pacitated. In our house that means you're not allowed to move and may be brought cups of tea on demand.

Lemonyfuckit · 24/07/2022 11:06

DH and I are still in bed, after eating breakfast in bed and on second enormous coffee (second is decaf), reading my book/the newspapers/MN. I work very hard during the week, weekend mornings in our house are for lazing around if we don't have anything particular planned.

BarrelOfOtters2 · 24/07/2022 12:51

I’ve delegated pudding, walked the dog and had another cup of tea. It’s been blissful.
