They're dog treats

ANewNameForThisThread · 23/07/2022 18:33

You give them to your dog to chew on.

Turnthatoff · 23/07/2022 18:33

Don’t people buy them for their dogs to chew?

Quincythequince · 23/07/2022 18:33

Dogs eat them.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 23/07/2022 18:33

They're for dogs.

limitededitionbarbie · 23/07/2022 19:40

I don't buy them for my dogs anyMore as they throw them in the air. One got caught in my hair last time and they smell horrible Envy

BlackForestCake · 23/07/2022 19:44

They are a fairly popular tapa in Spain, though I guess the ones you saw advertised were for dogs

WeAllHaveWings · 23/07/2022 19:47

The description of the product in your link couldnt be clearer it is a dog treat 🙄

Wolfiefan · 23/07/2022 19:49

@limitededitionbarbie 😱🤢😆

liveforsummer · 23/07/2022 19:53

They are for dogs obviously - although my weirdo won't eat them. Think they are too much effort. Apparently they aren't great for them anyway - too much oil/fat!

steff13 · 23/07/2022 19:54

From your link:

"Our pigs ears are the largest and thickest available and are a delicious treat that your dog will love!"

So, they're for dogs.

LurpakAspirations · 23/07/2022 19:57

They're ready to eat as they are. Smell rank but my old boy loved them.

MissMaple82 · 23/07/2022 19:57

As if you didn't know they are for dogs!! 🙈

EV117 · 23/07/2022 19:58

I don’t eat them no, my dog does. I

Inextremis · 23/07/2022 19:59

They're really nice oven baked and coated with mustard - just like crackling :)

angelikacpickles · 23/07/2022 20:03

It quite clearly says when you click the link that they are for dogs.

Soubriquet · 23/07/2022 20:05

They are for dogs. Literally in the description.

HarrfordFern · 23/07/2022 20:05

A tasty snack! Yummy!

5foot5 · 23/07/2022 20:10

Oh I opened this thinking it might be some philosophical question about why pig's ears are considered to be so intrinsically bad. As in "Well you've made a right pig's ear of that."

Are pig's ears so much worse than other animal's ears?

And is this in any way related to not being able to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Or is that a euphemism!

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 23/07/2022 20:21

Oh Crikey, I didn't realise they were for dogs.

I bought a box for where I work so I could hand them round when necessary and say "Well you've made a right pig's ear of that, so here's another one!

(I work in the Cabinet Office, and I was about to order another three boxes!)

Wheresmywoolyjumpers · 23/07/2022 20:23

(I work in the Cabinet Office, and I was about to order another three boxes!)

😂

DC1214 · 23/07/2022 20:42

Nigella def did a pig’s ear dish in one of her TV series.

feellikeanalien · 23/07/2022 20:46

I tried pigs ear salad in Portugal once. It was a bit chewy and I wouldn't have it again.

SiobhanSharpe · 23/07/2022 20:53

In Spain they cook them til they're very soft - but they still have a line of cartilege going through the middle.
DH's late mum used to eat them as a treat, her family was very poor and she got used to them when she was growing up in Ireland.
Mind you, my Dad, a Londoner, used to eat sheep's feet (or was it sheep's head) as a child. Or so he claimed.

Crankley · 23/07/2022 20:53

I had no idea they were for dogs. I have never owned a dog. I saw no reference to dogs when I looked briefly on the website.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles wins the prize for best us of a pigs ear.
