To try and stop myself falling in love

I’m falling in love with someone that I really cannot fall in love with. How do I stop myself? I have to see them regularly (work) so I can’t just stop seeing them unless I get a new job.

You're not 'falling in love'. You've just got a crush on someone and have built it up in your head. If they/you are not single and available then pull yourself together! It's not difficult to firmly put someone into 'NOT AVAILABLE FOR A RELATIONSHIP' mode. You don't 'Fall in Love' with other people's husbands, for example.

Are you a teenager?
Love is something that grows between two people in a relationship.
So no, you’re not falling in love with them.
You just really like them and are attracted to them. That’s life. Haven’t we all had a crush on someone at work? My biggest one was a gay man… it was terrible, I felt love sick and was mooning around all over the place.
I just gone on with it. You feel what you feel. I left naturally a year later, and now - well, this thread is the first time I’ve thought of him in years!
Suck it up, get on with it.

You're not falling in love 🙄

Just avoid them as much as possible and be professional when you do have to spend time with them, talk about work only. It's not love it's just a crush if it's completely one sided - and if they're married and encouraging you then they're a dick and really not worth anything.
