To just return these?

DH is away at the moment. Belated birthday gift has just arrived for me. DH was around for my actual birthday and I already have a lovely gift from him.
So today’s package is lacy knickers. I don’t want them. I’m very much a comfy pants person and already have a drawer full of non-comfy pairs gifted by DH. I really don’t need any more.
I’ve told him before I don’t like them and don’t need or want them but he keeps on buying more.
WIBU to send them back without waiting for him to get home and exchange them for something I’d actually like?

I would

dementedpixie · 23/07/2022 12:35

Better to return them than have them unused in a drawer

hannonle · 23/07/2022 12:44

Swap them for some uncomfy man thongs and gift him back haha

HannahSternDefoe · 23/07/2022 12:50

...at least they're not an over-priced socket set from B&Q...
🤷‍♀️

(but yes, send them back today if pos)

Daisypod · 23/07/2022 12:51

Can you return them though? Most places don't accept returns on underwear. If you can though I definitely would!

caz198917 · 23/07/2022 12:59

I would be so annoyed that despite telling your husband several times that you don't want to wear underwear like that. That he disregards that anyway. So disrespectful

Yep. I would send them back, but I’d be having words too.

mrskatebob · 23/07/2022 13:16

I fucking hate when men do this.

It's not a gift for you is it.

femfemlicious · 23/07/2022 13:18

You cant return underwear. Why cant you wear them once in a while for him. Marriage is about compromise.

@HannahSternDefoe 🤣🤣🤣

Ponoka7 · 23/07/2022 13:21

Are you sure that he doesn't wear them on the sly? 😄

KangarooKenny · 23/07/2022 13:23

Yes, it’s your gift so you can do what you want with it.

I've returned underwear before.

sunsetsandsandybeaches · 23/07/2022 13:31

Practically speaking, you won't be able to return it for hygiene reasons.

But I would tell him you don't want them and won't be wearing them.

waitingpatientlyforspring · 23/07/2022 13:46

If bought online you can return. I'm pretty sure you have legal protection on that score.

Marriage is about compromise but it's not about being forced to wear things for others sexual gratification!

Erm, her body the op gets to wear what she wants. Compromise doesn't mean changing how you look to make someone else happy. It's the same as the op buying a gimp suit (or whatever floats her boat) for her husband to wear for his birthday!

Besides, Birthday presents for supposed to be for the recipient not the giver.

OutDamnedSpot · 23/07/2022 14:25

Hahaha. I love the idea of returning them for comfy cotton pants then parading around. “Thank you DH. Just what I wanted” 😂😂

Aprilx · 23/07/2022 14:53

I wouldn’t return them, but I would tell him too.

Tiani4 · 23/07/2022 14:58

I'd return them if you can

And use the refund for something you do want

Each time he gets you lacy knickers next time after you've told him no more, rewrap them and give them to him for his birthday or Xmas Grin and go out and spend what you would have done on an actual gift for you

Wooow really?. "Others" sexual gratification?. This is her husband. Im not saying wear them everyday, once in a while specifically for him. Is this too much to ask.

I wonder if OP ever wore lacy undies before they got married🤔.

Lacy underwear is VERY different fro. A gimp suit. Im sure OP used to wear them before but cant be bothered anymore.

If you read the OP she said he already bought her a lovely present. This was something extra

waitingpatientlyforspring · 23/07/2022 16:26

@femfemlicious she has already stated that she has a draw full of lacy pants. Even if she was happy to wear them for her husband once in a while, she doesn't need more and more pairs buying!

However, even if it's her husband asking, if she doesn't want to she doesn't have to!

People (men usually) should stop buying things for themselves and dressing them up as presents for the other person.

femfemlicious · 23/07/2022 16:30

@waitingpatientlyforspring he probably keeps buying them because she nevwr wears them. He already bought her a present that she was happy with. She can carry on as is and aee how it pans out.
