I am really starting to dislike DH. He is greedy and selfish. I have been really poorly with covid the past few days and his answer to that was I can’t be unwell I’m a mum!!!

His relationship with food is sickening, the way he sets out the food on his plate and he knows which one is his (I took the wrong plate once and he actually almost cried). I can actually feel how much he loves food and it is so off putting, the way he licks his fingers and the plate. He has gained lots of weight and is constantly asking why I am not affectionate to him, I don’t like him!

Did he mean that as a parent we don’t have the choice but to do the best we can when the other parent isn’t reasonably not available? E.g.at work. I certainly told my ex that he didn’t have the luxury of lounging around in bed when slightly under the weather any more!

Or was he saying it in refusing to pull his weight when he could have done?

You're not painting a pretty picture that's for sure

LeavesOnTrees · 22/07/2022 15:05

Oh dear, it sounds like problem one of him not supporting you has led to problem two where you no longer find him attractive.

You can tell him about problem one and that he needs to step up especially when you're ill.
Not much you can do about the way he eats and the weight gain.

Meraas · 22/07/2022 15:10

Urgh he sounds horrible. Just leave him, don’t over think it.

What is the housing situation?

AllFreeOwls · 22/07/2022 15:21

So is he also not allowed to be ill as he's a dad?

Soubriquet · 22/07/2022 15:22

Does he pull his weight? Or does he opt out of parenting

No he said SHE isn't allowed to be ill as she's a mum

Lanzanote · 22/07/2022 15:33

I don’t really know the answer to that as he plays with the kids and they love him very much, I seem to get the shitty jobs like making sure they have clothes, uniform, fed, bathed, bags ready etc, wish I had the time to play 😭
