To be annoyed at a cough?

If your a parent of a small child, you will know exactly where I'm coming from

The dreaded cough that comes after a cold/virus.

It's in my ear, all day everyday. It interrupts every conversation. Every time she coughs I'm at the point of silently gritting my teeth.

It's not her fault bless her. But why do these continuous coughs drive us so insane? It's so loud and annoying.

So yeah, just a little niggle of the day that is irritating me so much I've resorted to moaning about it on Mumsnet.

It doesn’t annoy me in my DS but DH’s tickly hack makes me want to chop him up and feed him to the foxes.

My child's GP said children's coughs are fine up to 8 weeks!!! 😱 DD2 nearly did that.....

I cough at night and it drives me insane, poor DH, if it was reversed I would have popped him under the patio years ago.

Same. DD has a chest infection atm and it doesn't irritate me at all. But if DH coughs I really can't stand it 😂
