AIBU to panic about my age and push my pregnancy timeline forward

Hi,

I joined here for tips on preparing my body for pregnancy , nutrition advice etc.
I am a single lady, age 30. Considering the sperm donation route to becoming a single mother by choice. My plan was to wait another year in two in case I find ‘the one’ first. However AIBU to consider going ahead with my fertility journey sooner? I’m following some women on Instagram who have taken this path in early 30’s and seem happy with decision not to wait any longer. I guess I’m feeling a lot of societal pressure about being 30 and idk if I should wait. Has anyone taken the route or know anyone who has? I know nobody can give me the answer here but hoping a post helps a bit. Thanks!

You do what is right for you. You need to consider if you can support a child as a single parent. Will you have to back to work after maternity? can you afford childcare?

I wouldn't do it if you couldn't afford it. Also being a single parent to a newborn is HARD. Do you have family/friends to support you?

There is a lot of questions you need to ask yourself. It isn't do it or don't do it. It's can I or can't I.

My decision would be based on my finances and support. If I felt they were adequate I’d go for it, not out of panic- just because if I wanted it, why wait
