To feel sad and guilty about this?

My grandad died today in hospital with my Dad and sister by his side. I live too far a drive away to be there today but I'm going tomorrow to spend time with my family. I feel really sad and guilty that I wasn't there to support my Dad especially, as he is broken. I don't know why I'm posting. I'm just sad. 😓

My sister, I meant. His other granddaughter.

It wasn't your fault. You'd have been there if you lived nearer. And your dad/grandad weren't alone.

So sorry for your loss. Flowers

I'm sorry to hear about your granddad. I'm glad your dad and sister were able to be with him, and I am sure your dad knows you love him and are thinking of him, and you'll be there to support him tomorrow. He will probably be in a bit of a daze at the moment, in my experience anyway.

Thanks for your replies. I just feel so sad for my Dad. 😓 my Grandad was poorly for a good few weeks so we were expecting this but it doesn't make it any easier.
