Urgent advice - military

I know this isn't aibu but I really need traffic for quick info.
I am really hoping somebody can help because we can't seem to find a competent person with the answers we need. My dh is now out of the army, he is entitled to a resettlement grant which we were told would be paid into his last wage. Just checked and no resettlement money in there.
We are really depending on this money for several reasons but are going to struggle without it. Nobody can seem to tell us when the money is going to be paid, we have tried clarks but nobody knows. If I knew when it would be paid I could borrow some money and promise to have it paid back by x date.

In a previous life I used to do the admin and pay side of resettlement/discharge.

Back then the response was if you have a query following discharge you must contact APC Glasgow. The unit can't do anything as all final pay was processed by Glasgow.

Unless there has been a massive shift in processing (unlikely) he needs to call them.

I know the pension payout comes a few weeks after you leave. It might be the same for the resettlement grant. He should speak to his local resettlement officer/office. They should know.

It's usually 12 years for resettlement grant. Assume he has that?

Thanks for the replies. Yes he has done over 12yrs. Would anybody know if it would be on what would have been his next pay day even though he won't get a wage? I'm really hoping so, we can manage until then but otherwise our bills won't be covered as he won't receive another monthly wage.

Has anybody left recently and could give a time frame?
