Nursery Teacher Gifts

This will be the first time my DD will be having a 6 week Holiday from Nursery, she started past september for her first year, but will be going back in September. I'm going to sound so naive here, but do you get nursery teachers gifts???? I've never done anything like this before, and I'm worries that it's the norm and I've missed out on it. They'll be breaking up tomorrow and I've had so much going on, I completely forgot until somone mentioned it to me this morning!!!!! I don't want to look tight if I don't get anything, but I don't have a massive budget either, and she only goes in three morning a week, so I'm not even sure how many teachers there are!!!!!!! What do I do???????

We do give gifts here NE England. I would get a box of chocs and a card.

I give gifts when dc leave a room/setting but not just for the summer holidays.

We give gifts here too, but because there’s usually lots of nursery staff I tend to get things that can be shared in the staff room - a dozen Krispy Kreme box, or those platters of cupcakes from Tesco (they do a nice box of 12 for £6), or a tin of posh biscuits, things like that.

If money is tight just send in a thank you card with a nice message.

Aaaaahhhh, thank you for the replies. I didn't want to be the only one that didn't get anything, especially when she's going back in September. Lol. I think I'll get a couple of boxes of chocolates and get my DD to do a homemade Thank You card Xx
