To expect to be able to access the Internet on my phone when I want too?

Does anyone else find they can't always get online on their phone?

I find it alot recently. I'm with the operator that claims to have the best coverage. I'm not sure it's to do with that though?
Isn't it down to how many people are using the Internet at the same time?
Can someone explain whether this is normal.
Frustrating at times.

I find this happens if my Wi-Fi is turned on and trying to automatically connect to the BT wifi, it then shows a no-connection error and I have to turn off the Wi-Fi to remind it to use 4/5G

Is that any part of the problem?

On mobile data its very unlikely to be because of how many people are using the internet. Have you tried using a different internet browser? Eg try using Chrome if you use safari. Is it on apps too like Facebook?

Yes Facebook too.

That's not true, in very busy areas (eg festival sites) the network can just get jammed and stop working as so many people are trying to use it.

OP, where are you having problems? Urban or rural areas for example?

It's nothing to do with how many people are using it at the same time - it's probably your actual phone

I had this yesterday trying to pay for parking (had no change and was in a rush) and it was showing full bars 5g but phone didn’t work via app or ringing, so in the end I just risked leaving it with no ticket and luckily didn’t get busted!

Is your phone trying to connect to Wi-Fi somewhere. I sometimes get this in public and then if I turn Wi-Fi off and it works fine.

I've had this problem when I've had to go into the workplace, it's basically a deadspot on my network. Occasionally it will read 4G and load a page, but most of the time it has no data signal - even if it says 3G or Edge, nothing will load, not even a basic page of text.
