Tattoos

My partner of 2 years has several tattoos on various parts of his body. All are incredible art pieces that are so skillful and really suit him - he had them all when I met him.

He's been speaking recently about having a few more all on different places on his body. He's asked me what I think of them and of him having them done. I've said they're great designs, and I'll support him to do what he wants.

In truth I like the design but I don't like the idea of anymore tattoos on him. He's said he values my thoughts and wouldn't have them done if I didn't like them, as he wouldnt want me to be put off him. I think he sensed a slight hesitation in my voice and I just kept saying I'll support him.

I want him to do what he wants, but he is asking me to be truthful.

Am I being unreasonable by not saying anything?

I would just say pretty much what you have here, that you like the designs your not keen on him having more tattoos but that ultimately it’s his body so his choice.

I mean if he already had several it's a viable option that he'd be wanting more, i don't understand why if he already has them you dislike the idea of him having more done

they dont enhance ones look so id tell him.

Is it a significant difference in placement? Like he had back tattoos and now wants facial ones?

Thank you for replying. @Sirzy i think you're right I probably should just tell him that. I really didn't want to influence him, but he'd probably value it more.

I think the tattoos he's got are great and really suit him, these new ones are going to be on different parts of his body so essentially covering more of his body. I think maybe it's that I know he might not stop there and end up covering his whole body.

At least hes asked you, so I take it he wants your honesty. Just tell him how you feel.
