Baby formula powder smells strange, WIBU to use it?

Shamelessly posting for traffic as I don't know what on earth to do.

Brand new container of Cow & Gate formula - I've just opened it and there's a distinct smell to it that isn't usually there. It smells 'strong' for want of a better description. I checked the remnants of the last container which was about to run out and that smells the same.

I'm 100% sure it's because of the heat. Our flat has been unbearably hot today.

What on earth do I do? Can I use it or not? Baby is 8mo but still feeds multiple times in the night. I can't go out and replace it.

I don’t know, but you should probably trust your gut. The only thing I’d ask is: could you be pregnant again? That might affect your sense of smell.

If I doesn't feel right don't use it buy a new one and take this one back and say it's off. X

If the previous container smells the same I'd use it.
