In the last 2 months

-my dunelm mirror arrived smashed to bits, they refunded.

  • from the same order but different delivery, my duvet set was delivered to a house down the road and left behind a bin. Managed to figure out the house but it was gone.
  • Now had a delivery from Matalan 'delivered'. Checked the tracking and its showing a marker near my house but the delivery photo shows a house with a white door and welcome mat. My door is black/no mat!!

Is there some sort of delivery database I'm going to get flagged up on when I complain yet again 😂😂

How hard is it to go to the right door and not leave a parcel if no one answers?!

You aren't having much luck! I would start shopping with companies that don't use Evri!

I have anything from evri delivered to a pickup location and have never had an issue. Don't trust them to deliver to my house.

GoAround · 18/07/2022 21:40

Evri left one of my parcels in a neighbours bin. If they were going to dump it in a bin, why not mine?! I also had a parcel delivered to my neighbour ‘Vicky’, no further information, except a photo where it became obvious from the brick in the background that ‘Vicky’ didn’t even live on our road.

I don't drive, missing the point of getting stuff delivered if you have to go collect it, surely?

Add your ‘what 3 words’ to the comments box. I have to as we live in the middle of nowhere and the postcode takes you 3 miles down another track 🙄 yodel and Evri seem happy with W3W. Dpd always find us without it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Evri (Hermes) are just really really bad. Hope they get better for you

Cas112 · 19/07/2022 08:54

And no they isn't a delivery database, you just have the let the company you have ordered from know. They won't think anything of it unless it starts to happen with every order for each company then they might start to think your being dishonest about deliveries.

listsandbudgets · 19/07/2022 09:03

Its more likely they'll start monitoring your local courier..I ordered some bedding a few months ago and got a text saying it was delivered... the photo was of a completely different door - ours is red, thos one was white. It never turned up and the retailer asked me if I'd be willing to give a statement to police as this jad happened to numerous deliveries in the area. They clearly suspected the courier kf only pretending to deliver before selling on.

Me too! Evri are shit and I often try to find companies that use them even if the item is more expensive. Less stress and hassle. If there's absolutely no way around it then I get it delivered to a pickup location.

I had the same with Evri yesterday. Knew where it had been delivered to (some houses behind gates with an intercom) but it was 8hrs later and it was gone. They're wankers and we're not on speaking terms. Went back the next morning and they'd been chucked out of the gates 🙄. Our usual Evri lady is brilliant though.

UPS are just as crap. They delivered to a random house in the next village that we didn't recognise from the photo. Was an absolute pain in the arse getting it sorted with them and the company. Hermes then did the same 2 days later. Eventually found the house months later when I saw it on rightmove! Was tempted to book a viewing just to ask them for my stolen parcels back.

At least you get it. I have one opposite where I work so easy to collect it.
