I hate the fact that as you get older, people start to talk to you as if you don't know anything, particularly when it comes to technology!

It's so patronising!

I haven't experienced this. I do find younger people helpful though. Something happened to you?

This is easy. Just engage them in conversation, asking lots of questions, till one of you runs out of knowledge.
Either they did know more than you, and you'll learn something. Or they'll realize you know more than them and they'll learn something. Or, they'll be bored stiff and won't do it again.
