If someone texts you and attempts to friend you on Fb, what's the best way to get rid of them.
I have come off FB and don't know how this person got my mobile number and the texts are becoming more frequent.
I'm not entirely sure if I can block this number as I can't change my number until September.
Is there a way to block numbers and how do you do it? As you can tell I'm totally clueless with technology.

Yes if you open the text from them and go in to the 3 dots or may be settings it gives you the option to block.

It's a Huawei android phone.

Can you save them as a contact, for example Weird Sue, then block them.

On my (android) phone if you go to your list of messages & press and hold the message you want to block you get a pop up. One of the options is block. Select that and it'll delete the message & block future ones

> Blocked >
> Blocklist .
Touch
and add the numbers you want to block. SMS and MMS messages sent by these numbers will all be blocked.

How do they know you have blocked them? What happens when they call?

To block someone on FB go to their profile, click the three dots and choose block.
