To quit my job?

I've been at my current marketing job for a few months in a junior role. Recently we had a new associate director join, "senior" to me, but I don't report to her.

For example, Since she started she's:

  1. Asked my how I am, since I appear "out of it" - when i'm just being my normal and feel just fine.
  1. In meetings she will let me speak, and then say " let me clarify or I think XXX (me) hasn't mentioned this" and then repeat word for word what I just said. So much so, my own boss started laughing in one meeting.
  1. In a brainstorming session announced that "I wasn't the only one with that idea", and wouldn't let me get any credit - despite her writing her apparent idea on a future months card and we had not got to it.
  1. Taking over every project I have and not letting me know the changes she has made, so I end up really confused.

The worst part is, my manager and HR told me she would start to mentor me. Since then, her weird behavior has gotten worse.

I went to my boss today to talk about this, and it was taken in - but I was made to feel like this was no big deal. I feel like i'm loosing my mind and i've just spent the whole night crying.

AIBU just to walk out? Or is this usual and I just need to toughen up.

Sounds like bullying and harassment in the workplace to me. I’d document these instances, and raise a formal complaint. She’s undermining you, and belittling you. You have nothing to lose by doing this, if you were thinking of walking out.
Horrible situation for you, good luck!
