Just because kids behave beautifully at school, it does not mean they are incapable of behaving badly at home or for someone else?

Yes it's quite common for children to behave at school and not at home

Obviously.

Why have you started this thread?

YANBU

I was a perfect pupil in school and absolutely shit bag to my mum. Because I knew I could get away with it with her. I also 'mask' as an adult and behave differently around different people. I do not know how to cope when two different groups meet.

DS1 is 9YO and has ASD. His behaviour is worse at home but there were issues in school. DS2 is 7YO. I believe he masks at school. You can literally see the change in him the second he walks into the school gates. He is a completely different child.

My sister has kids who get glowing school reports and are the best behaved in school. Yet she gets bad reports back from the babysitter about their behaviour. Kids deny it, she believes them as says they are always well behaved at school and that nobody else has an issue with them.
