I’m on a freecycle group on facebook for my area, over 20k people in so there’s multiple items a day. Most people leave stuff in their front garden and say no holding, just come and get it And put their address on the post. Is the etiquette for this to knock on their door to say thank you or to just take it and leave them be? Because if I was giving away a shed full of free stuff id rather people just take it and go than to be knocking on my door every 5 minutes, but I feel like if I don’t say thank you it’s just rude.
