To stop trying to pay?

Long story short. I lease my car, car payment hasn't been taken since January. I have contacted the company on numerous occasions, sent emails, even went down to the branch to set up direct debit again (as they advised to cancel and set up again) and they're still to take payment. Every time I talk to them they advise they've resolved the issue and the next payment will be the total amount owed then after that will go back to normal, but still nothing. Direct debit is showing on my banking but at amount of £0.00. What more can I do? I'm putting the money from each month to one side so the money is there for them. I'm just worried because my lease included my insurance and worried if one day my insurance is bo longer valid 😬 at what point can I just assume they've gifted me the car 😂

Sounds really frustrating!! Are you (and they) on social media e.g. Twitter? Can you send them a tweet, as this could push them to look into this properly for you? Or write to a v senior manager/their CEO?

I didn't even know you could do this! I knew you could check tax/MOT but not insurance. But thankfully it is showing as insured.
