Cost of activities

Am I being unreasonable to expect my daughters dad to pay for the scout activities that my daughter goes to, as he’s the scout leader and it’s the only reason she goes there.
She does enjoy it, and I wouldn’t stop her going, and if he won’t pay then I always do but AIBU to think that he actually SHOULD pay for them.
He does pay child maintenance for her, as she’s the only child under 18 now, although they all still live with me. Although he makes no financial contribution towards the cost of supporting our older children. They are all saving hard to be able to afford their own places in a couple of years.
She has a scout camp this summer, which he refused to pay for - I have done so, but it means that we won’t be able to have any kind of holiday for “us”, whereas he has just returned from Rome and is going to Tenerife in a couple of weeks.
She needs new uniform, and I’ve just asked him to help out by buying the shirt, if I buy the rest (all of £20 mind) of the things she needs, and he’s pleading poverty. He also earns three times my own wage, plus his fiancés wage coming into their house.

So, will I buy the shirt? Of course I will - I would never make my daughter miss out
AiBU to be surprised? Yes, because I should know better by now
but AIBU to wish that just for once, he’d help out?
