I don't get how she has 'grassroots support'.
Most people seem never to have heard of her and the ones that do know who she is know of her because they're angry about her trying to push through a harmful misogynistic agenda, or the false Turkey/EU claims.

Exactly. She is obviously not stupid, I think she just has scathingly little respect for anyone (certainly MNEtters after her web chat here 3 years ago!) in thinking we have such short memories. I think she thinks we are all stupid!

To be fair they all think we're stupid. We vote for them, after all.

Also they are Tories, so they feel they are born to rule.
