Is this garden too small?

Really struggling to find a home. Found one that’s lovely but DH thinks the garden is small - it’s 9.5metres by 12 metres. What do you all think? He thinks we will regret it as kids are so young. Yes I also think the garden is small but nearby is a huge park. I’m really torn

A small garden may still look lovely and it will be less time consuming and expensive to maintain than a big one. If you have a nice park nearby, I personally wouldn't worry too much...it all depends on what you are looking for

Are your kids even garden types?
If they do an actual sport or prefer playing with friends you’ll always be at the park/sports centre anyway.
And it’s only a few short years before they become teens and do their own thing.

Also it may be personality because I was always a more indoor child. Playing musical instruments, reading etc there could have been an entire football field outside and I wouldn’t have used it! My children will be the same…

It’s big enough for table, chairs, a paddling pool and a compact climbing frame for example. Your dcs won’t be little for long and they’ll then want to go out and about alone. I’d say buy the house you can afford and you love most.

Doesn’t look small to me at all.

i wouldn’t say that’s a small garden. Ours is probably the same length but not as deep and I would describe it as small for the size of the house, but it backs onto farm land so that is a bonus. We have loads of plants, a patio, and lots of play areas for the kids (3).
in an ideal world I would love bigger so we could get some evening sun, otherwise it’s fine.
