I'm throwing a party in a hall on Saturday for my 4yr olds dd birthday. I've never thrown one before and after the panic this has caused, I may never again.

I've got pretty much everything but stumped on the table cloths.

It's a Frozen theme.

I can get 6 frozen ones for around £23 with delivery. They're plastic which I wanted to avoid. Would it be okay to either get light blue paper ones or white paper ones? Paper ones are £2 each but I would need more as they're smaller.

I have frozen plates, cups and napkins.

Any other advice would be great.

Blue and white paper ones are fine. The kids will not notice. Then they get binned.

KylieCharlene · 12/07/2022 10:56

I think the blue and white paper ones sound preferable tbh.
I'd also add some pale blue and white streamers.
It will look great.

Blue and white sound lovely, nicer actually!

RandomQuest · 12/07/2022 10:58

Haha you’ve gone deep down the rabbit hole. No one cares or will even remember the table cloths (I’ve been to 4 kids parties this month and not foggiest idea of the table decor at ant of them). Get the cheapest.

Plain ones will make the Frozen plates more visible

TokyoSushi · 12/07/2022 10:58

Blue & white are absolutely fine, 4 year olds will not care even a tiny bit!

Icanstillrecallourlastsummer · 12/07/2022 10:58

The kids will not care. At all. I'd go with blue/ white paper ones.

FogoInn · 12/07/2022 11:01

Blue and white sounds lovely, alternate them on the table.

Good luck, the party sounds awesome

A roll of banquet cover in white and an odd blue square cover dotted around.

too much of the busy patteren themed stuff look awful in my opinion!

I always either do a themed table cloth with plain plates etc or plain table cloth with themed plates. Often i will do plain colured everything with the themed napkins.

I would do plain blue table cloth, you could get a small packet of snowflake sequins to scatter on the table if you wanted, thats what I did at my daughters frozen party.

Use wrapping paper

scorpiogirly · 12/07/2022 13:22

Thank you all! I was thinking it would look too busy too with the plates and cups. Will get blue I think. Who knew that table cloths would cause such a headache!
