Anybody know of decent public saunas?

I like using the sauna, I've just cancelled a Bannatynes gym membership as I was paying £30 per month for the gym and sauna (pool and jaccuzi were always packed out) but I could get the same gym facilities elsewhere for £15 a month.
All I can really see are gay saunas, or ones as part of a spa day. I'm not sure if saunas on their own are much of a thing? I'm in Greater Manchester

I've found a hammam, but it's £25 per session!

Not anywhere near Manchester. The only good ones I know of that are only a sauna are in Sussex or overseas.

If you are ever in Sussex on holiday, the Beach Box in Brighton or Wowo Spa near the Bluebell Railway.

Harrogate Turkish Baths is just lovely. Bit of a trek for you from Manchester, I guess?

I think you might want your membership back. I'm in London but one reason I didn't ditch gym membership earlier than I did, was exactly this. Jacuzzi for me - these things are only accessible by booking and paying a very different fee, unless you belong to a gym. They're usually only part of a spa.

I guess these facilities will be even more expensive now due to costs. You can often book just day at a gym with a jacuzzi for about £20!

Never been to those places but If I'm ever there I'll check them out, thanks!
Yes, that's what I'm starting to think! I may have to get it back
