Negative after 2 days?!

Posting for traffic. Tested on Wednesday after having a really snotty nose since Monday, I thought it was bad hayfever at first. Test was negative. I had a really bad headache that started Thursday night and lasted all day Friday. I tested Friday tea time and was positive. I’ve just tested again out of interest to see if line was darker or more faint…..negative! Done another to make sure….both negative! I still have the terrible headache and feel worse this time than I did the first time I had it.

has this happened to anyone else?!

Surely the more logical answer is that you got a false positive if repeated other tests are negative?

Close colleague also positive, and I did two tests on Friday evening which were both positive.

Yes, this happened to my DH. I had a thread about it. He tested negatives after two days and felt very smug. The next day he was very firmly positive.again and he stayed positive for about 8 days, with this one negative day blip in the middle. I think the tests were inaccurate.

Maybe the first test you did was a false positive so you'd have it longer than you realised so are now negative.

I have recently had covid and was similar.

I tested negative on the Wed
Tested again on Thurs and was weakly positive.
Tested on Sat. Very weak positive
Tested on Monday. Completely negative.

So yeah, 4 days at the most, possibly 3. Put it down to having had covid a few months prior and being triple vaccinated so reckon my immune system just fought it off quickly.

I felt ill Wed - Fri and felt great from the Saturday onwards.

Totally different from when I had it the first time and was ill with positive tests for 14 days

Maybe this is it - had it the first time 6 months ago and am triple vaxxed. I’ve still got the terrible headache, actually feel worse this time than the first time 🤔

For the 3 days that I was ill I felt worse than the first time. And then I slept for 13 hours solid and woke up feeling great on day 4.
Hope you feel better soon
