If a woman had 9 children by 3 fathers, could she be a CEO like Elon Musk??

Interesting article exploring this very topic.

Surely it is just going to be harder on the woman for the fact she has to carry and birth 9 babies compared to a man?! It's a biological difference you can't ignore. Women are capable of achieving a great many things while pregnant but it's no secret that you can feel sick, tired and achy. I doubt many women would opt to birth 9 children let alone do it while managing a business!

I'm all for feminism, but it doesn't take much common sense to understand that growing and birthing babies is always going to be harder on women than men.

You’ve missed the point entirely.

Well they offered more of an opinion than you have!

in terms of being promiscuous- I can’t think of any.

in terms of number, Ursula van dr leyen has 7.

Getoff · 10/07/2022 06:51

It would make no difference. Musk did not apply to be CEO, and have to pass some sort of vetting process. Public opinion of his character is irrelevant to him gaining his position.

You should have gone with the other example from the article.

Getoff · 10/07/2022 06:59

Even if public opinion did matter, I think a woman who had nine children and let them all be 100% raised by their various fathers, while adequately funding both the fathers and children, would be quite a unicorn. Hardly worth discussing, it's so unimaginable.

Ylvamoon · 10/07/2022 07:02

No - biology would prevent us from doing this.

SnowyPetals · 10/07/2022 07:06

You're right from the point of view that people judge women for having children with different partners far more than they judge men. Double standards as usual.

Potentially 10 if the Amber Heard rumors are true.

Yes

Only if she had a big brain, a lot of chutzpah and some business acumen

Oblomov22 · 10/07/2022 07:50

Blimey, I didn't know that Ursula van dr leyen had 7 children. Not that I'm a fan of hers particularly. Her threat of banning vaccines out of EU really got my goat.

No.

Nicola Horlick has 6 children, one of whom died age 12 from leukaemia.

So yes, as the actual child-bearing takes more of a toll on the mother, I'd say that's a greater achievement.

Two husbands, but I think all the DC were from the first marriage.
