Am I being unreasonable? Car usage?

Need some advice.

I currently have a family member as second driver on my car in exchange they drive me to longer distance appointments as I can't do long distance for a vary of reasons.

I allow them to use it when they need to which is every day, and they do put petrol in. Which is fine.

However lately it every week there is new scratch on the car some little deep ones and some surface scratches (which I know wd40 would get out but again it's my time of sitting their polishing them out constantly!) they don't even tell me about these scratches, they just pretend they didn't know how they got there when I point them out.

Would I be unreasonable to remove them off my insurance once my last long distance appointment is done?

It's going to cost me thousands to get it fixed and I know they don't have the money for it. DH doesn't want to get involved. I just don't know if I'm being unfair but I'm sick of my car being damaged constantly.

I think if you're going to remove them off your insurance that's fair enough, but do it now and find another way of getting to your appointment.

No other way to get to my appointment, I've already tried. I'll be sedated and in a lot of pain so when I'm coming back doing public transport will be very tricky. Sad

well scratches ir not if the deal is that they get car use while you need them to drive you, surely the deal ends when you don't need to be driven? but if the scratches will cost you thousands to fix, surely taxis would have been cheaper?

That's true taxi would be about £200 to my appointments each time there and back.
I will remove off the insurance after my last appointment and just stick to my guns that the deal has ended. I don't know if it'll be thousands but it's on a few different body parts so not even just the same part Sad

Could you DH not drive you to the appointments?
