To do a separate party for school/not school friends

That’s it really, my daughter has 3 really close friends outside of school (she’s 5) I was thinking of doing something a bit more intimate for them rather than inviting them to school party?

Of course YANBU.

Why do you think this is unreasonable

misskatamari · 08/07/2022 18:06

Sounds like a great idea to me

My mum said I should invite them but surely they would prefer to get together separately, just wondered what other mums did I suppose.

I’m doing exactly that- did a joint party just for school friends and then doing a bbq for close family and friends (15 people). School lot can be cliquey so I would feel bad not being able to spend time with my friends who wouldn’t know anyone else. DS is very excited to have two parties!
