Lymphoma??? Lump in armpit

have a small pea sized hard lump in my armpit. The hospital today have fast tracked me for an underarm and full body scan to check for Lymphoma. I'm petrified. Has anyone else had this? Is it standard? The nurse also said I had a slightly low blood count which could be an indication of cancer. I've cried all afternoon 😢 😭 😪 I just wondered if anyone else has been in this situation or has any advice please? Am I being ridiculous getting stressed over this???

Is the lump your only symptom? It seems a bit dramatic to order a full body scan for cancer based on one small lump!

I had a lump in my armpit recently - it was just a swollen gland and disappeared within a week or two.

I have had this twice. A swollen gland again. Please don't worry. You are not being ridiculous but it is likely nothing.

I think it was really very unprofessional of the nurse to say that to you. Hope everything is ok.

I've had this a few times,once with mastitis and once with a general infection. There wasn't any need for intervention as it reduced over a week or so.
