To still be a bit confused re covid pass?

Flying this weekend (Spain). I’ve printed out the covid passes for us all. Just panicking really in case they’re wrong in some mysterious way. I did the whole ‘download NHS covid pass for travel’ and have the QR codes printed. Is it right that there are 3 separate QR codes (for doses 1, 2 and booster)? Whenever I’ve heard people talking about the passes, they’ve referred to the QR code singular 🤷‍♀️

Also, travel agent mentioned accessing the pass on our phones as if that was better than printing them - she said the QR codes they generate last 28 days - but print outs say valid until December?! I don’t like these grey areas/ doubts. Sorry for boring post… Need a calm voice of authority.

We took paper copies with us when flying to Lanzarote last month.

They selected family groups at random to check. We were selected. They really only glanced at them and didn't scan them. Felt like they were just going through the motions.

I am sure you will be fine.

Go online and search for the Spanish government authority website where you need to upload your Covid passes. That then generates the QR code that will be checked upon entry.

I’ve just printed ours tonight for the four of us and I can see they’re valid until December 2022 and each page has a different bar code..I cannot help you any more than that…I am sure you will be fine

OddSockQueen · 07/07/2022 21:39

Really? I had no idea!

Thank you. Did you upload yours to the Spanish govt website like sst1234 says?

I've been told my my travel agent that you don't need to upload anything for spain?

dementedpixie · 07/07/2022 21:49

We're in lanzarote right now and they checked some passes but not all. 3 of us had the digital ones and ds had a paper copy. They scanned ours and they must have been OK. Didnt upload anything to any websites

We are recently back from Spain. We had paper passes. Everyone on our flight was scanned.

No that wasn't required.

dementedpixie · 07/07/2022 22:06

You only need to fill in info online if you aren't fully vaccinated

You don’t need to upload anything to the Spanish government site - the need for this was removed in May. Yes, if you’ve had three jabs you will have 3 QR codes numbered 1,2&3. You can either download to your phone or print them. As previous posters have said, most Spanish border controls are picking passengers at random to check them. They didn’t check mine but did check my DH’s. And when I say check, I mean a cursory glance. This was at Valencia airport.

This is very helpful- thank you so much 😊
