To ask if anyone has had this problem with eBay not sending funds

I'm tearing my hair out with this.

I've used this eBay account for 13 years, I'm part of a UK partnership and occasionally we sell via eBay.

We sold something recently for nearly £2,000 and eBay are refusing to send us the money until we prove that we are an official partnership.

I have tried sending them everything we have. They keep asking for a company registration number (partnerships don't have these). I've sent them our signed partnership agreement, letters from HMRC, letters from our accountant, our VAT certificate, our UTR number... Everything we have and they are STILL saying they need more.

Whenever I speak to anyone they are firstly in American and secondly barely speak English. I've tried talking to them on the phone, via chat etc..

I'm at a genuine loss. I don't know whether it's just because the people I'm speaking to don't understand how the UK system works or what but I really don't know what else to do.

I just get told they'll speak to management and then no one comes back to me.

This may seem like a ridiculous suggestions but try using chrome as your browser if not already. Very strangely it accepted our documentation via this browser and not others (suggestion from ebay helpdesk when we had similar problems transferring to managed payments).

It accepts the documents okay it's eBay when checking them that keep rejecting them as not meeting their proof criteria ...!

I agree with using Chrome, I have to use it to print labels as well.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, tell Ebay you will contact Trading Standards and take legal advice.

If you ring first thing in the morning you might be lucky and get their customer service in Dublin. I often see this being suggested on the ebay forums. Good luck!
