To ask about labiaplasty recovery

Not really an AIBU, but posting here for traffic. I had a labia repair similar to labiaplasty this week and wondering if anyone who has had this type of procedure can share their recovery experience please? I'm wondering when it might be comfortable to walk etc.

What does your doctor say? Here you'll only get individual, anecdotal responses, but the doctor should have the aggregate information.

That's like asking how one recovered after having a c section. The healing process is different for everyone...

Just listen to your body and go from there.

My doctor said I'd probably need painkillers for a week and then to go by how I feel... I guess I'm really looking for anecdotal responses as I'm suffering quite a bit atm and wanting to hear about the light at the end of the tunnel from people who have experienced it themselves?

I was on some kind of morphine based pain killer for a week after I think and was asleep for a lot of that. This was a long time ago, almost a decade. It took about 3 months for swelling to reduce and about 6 months for full sensation to return. I used regular paracetamol and ibuprofen after the stronger painkillers and avoided tight trousers/pants until I was more comfortable .
Good luck with your recovery
