No period, 8 month post partum, bottle feeding

Hi

I've had no period and my little boy is almost 8.5 months old. Exclusively bottle fed since birth. Everything I've read says I should have had it by now.

Worried but getting to see a doctor is proving ridiculous. Anybody gone through this ? (Not interested in breast feeding no offense as doesn't apply to me)

Thanks xx

Are you sure you aren’t pregnant? My daughter was 5 months old when I fell pregnant again. Didn’t realise as my period hadn’t returned and i was exclusively breast feeding.

Defo not pregnant. Using protection and had 2 negatives to make sure x

Bottle fed- as in expressing and feeding with a bottle?

Twdfn123 · 27/07/2023 14:20

Hi,

My period came back on it's own after 13 months post partum. And i bottle fed my son all through this as well. So it took a while, they booked me in for testing and scans and about a week before I was due to have the testing it just came back. It has been like clockwork ever since. They said its just one of those things sometimes.

I know its worrisome as I've been there, but.it should come back in time fingers crossed. In the meantime enjoy the break hahaa 😊

Old thread and off the point but why on earth would you assume this? If someone says bottle fed they obviously mean formula in this scenario, and especially as the OP specifically said “not interested in breast feeding as it doesn’t apply to me.”
