Anyone flown from/ into Manchester T1 this week?

I'm going this weekend, my flight is departing from Manchester at 5:55am! Going to have to be at the airport before 3am, dreading it!
I flew from T3 last month and with a fast track pass got through security in under 5 minutes. T1 is a lot bigger though..just wondered if it's still as chaotic as has been presented in the media.

Yes, last Saturday and the Saturday before - departure flight was at 8:30, sailed through. Both of my children have flown recently too and gone straight through, I think the issues must be intermittent.

That's great news!
I think mine will be the first flight of the day so hopefully a bit quieter.

is twilight check in an option? Think we are going to do that as then in the morning can head straight for security.

I haven't got any bags to check in luckily so can go straight to security!

Oh even better! From what I’ve read it seems to be just luck. Plus point is going before the schools break up. I am driving myself round the bend thinking of ways to pack as much as I can inside my hand luggage just in case cases get lost!

My son flew out of T1 yesterday afternoon and said it was a breeze both at bag drop and security.

Yes it does seem to be luck of the draw! Let's hope it's quiet for us both!
