Car accident

Been in a car accident today. I have been driving for 6 years and this is the first accident. Van pulled out on me and I went into the side of him. Felt fine at the time but I have headache now, achey legs and felt sick most of the day. Is this normal? I’m so stressed my car may be written off and to top it off no hire car available until the weekend 😭

Yes pretty normal, I'm assuming you did all the usual swapping details and contacting insurance etc. Do you have a courtesy car included in your policy? Dont worry about it being written off in some ways its sometimes easier than having to faff about waiting for it to get repaired, jess you still have it financed for more than its worth or course.

@Hellocatshome yes all sorted on that side. The courtesy car is included in my policy but one isn’t available until saturday. I think it’s very likely my car will be written off! It was in a big mess 😔

It's shock - it's horrible but you will feel better in a few days :)

Make sure you get checked out properly tomorrow once the shock has worn off. My husband found out the hard way that adrenaline masks injuries and when he eventually got checked out he had broken ribs and a fractured finger as well as lower back muscle damage. If you are injured make sure you apply for compensation.
