If there really is no one better?

I keep hearing Boris has to stay because there's no alternative. Should our public schools be ashamed of themselves if they really haven't managed turn out anyone a bit more suitable for the top job?

😆

Fuck knows. I'd be asking for a refund.

There are at least 100 Conservative MPs who would be less bad.

🤣 all joking aside, the elite boarding school system is so incredibly fucked and so emotionally and psychologically damaging, I’m not even slightly surprised that this is the best it could turn out.

All politicians seem to be just as bad as each other, no matter what side they're on. God knows who I'm going to vote for at the next election 🤷‍♀️

What a strangely narrow lens for a post.

Should comprehensive schools be ashamed that we couldn't turn out anyone since Gordon Brown and John Major??!

It wasn't an entirely serious post, but neither John Major nor Gordon Brown had comprehensive educations. In fact, I can't think of a single PM who did and you're right, that's a travesty.
