As the title says

Netflix
Apple TV
Disney

Not sure what others there are but we are looking for something to sign up to.

Probably not Disney actually

Netflix has the most variety but we also have Disney. We subscribe and cancel Disney as and when there is a new series we want to watch.
Never had Apple TV, or found anything I really wanted to watch was on their only.

There is also Prime TV included with Amazon Prime. We use it occasionally but wouldn’t subscribe purely for the TV

The other ones that I can think of are NOW TV (aka Sky), BritBox (mostly old stuff but unbeatable for original Dr Who) and Paramount (only for huge Star Trek fans).

If I were you I'd rotate between them - they've all got a handful of really great series.

Coldilox · 04/07/2022 18:11

Paramount is worth a months free trial if you can get one (or it’s free if you get Sky cinema) purely for The First Lady, it’s superb

Auntpodder · 04/07/2022 18:15

The cheapest and the broadest in nature is the BBC but assuming you already pay the licence fee, Netflix is my favourite.

Cloud16 · 04/07/2022 18:15

I've started taking advantage of the free ones because I've cut out Disney and Amazon.

Lots of good stuff on STV Player (UK wide), like sexy dramas and big hits like The Bridge, ITV player, BBC iPlayer and Channel 4. You can find good stuff on them and they're UK wide and free. I signed up to VIP with STV for less ads and you barely get any. Saves me time when I binge long lost families on a Sunday!

As for paid, Netflix is my favourite.

NOW TV is great as a PP suggested
also Discovery+ is good and only 3.99 pm
It depends what you are interested in watching really

they both do free 7 day trials as well to help you decide and with NOW TV when you cancel they offer some really good deals with the sky movies included, usually three months half price
id just suggest adding BOOST to it as it does remove advertising
with NOW TV you can’t do anything on the App except choose your content and you have to sign in to their website to manage passes and payment methods which is worth knowing
