10 week old babe bad cold

Hi, desperate for help. I've also contacted 111 and awaiting a call back.

My ten week old girl seems to have caught a bad cold and her nose is so congested. It seems like she can't breathe at all through it at times. She's feeding OK though. Can they suffocate because of a blocked nose ?

Has anyone else had such a young baby get a cold and can give me some advice ? I am using nasal spray and trying to suck as much mucus out as possible. I have a Calpol plug in as well.

Saline drops up the nose can also help. And try and keep her propped up a bit. Feed small amounts more frequently, so she doesn't get tired. Babies are obligatory nose breathers so struggle with a blocked nose.
Seek medical help if she's sucking in between or under her ribs or you can see her head bobbing.

What do you mean by head bopping ?
