To ask how much parking would be in this car park?

It's a pay and display car park and I want to park for 12 hours from midday to midnight.

Do you think I'm allowed to do this?

And if so how much do I pay?

I'm going to phone them on Monday but is it just me who's very confused by this sign?

£7, can't see if it shuts att 8 or if you can stay later though.

AgathaBrazen · 02/07/2022 21:43

There's no barrier so nothing to stop staying after 8. I just don't want to get a ticket.

Reads to me that the maximum limit for parking is 6 hours

LubaLuca · 02/07/2022 21:44

I can't read the smaller text on the sign, but I don't think you can park there for more than 6 hours. It mentions 'no return within 2 hours' I think.

Park in the west Quay shopping centre car park instead. £5 a day and people leave there cars there for days when they go on a cruise.

That car park does have barriers but I’m not sure if they close them or not. You might be better in the NCP

www.ncp.co.uk/find-a-car-park/car-parks/southampton-portland-terrace/

or depending on where you want to be there are places not a million miles away where you can just park on the street.

Assuming it's the same West Quay, you might be better parking here: www.west-quay.co.uk/parking/multistorey-car-park
It states 24 hours, and looks cheaper?

Pleaseletmeconfirm · 02/07/2022 21:52

It reads to me like the max time you are allowed to park is 6 hours between 8am and 8 pm.

Thank you. I assumed the shopping centre would be more limited than the outside car parks.
