Watching with interest, we bought one of those octaspring ones you see on tv, BIG mistake! 18 months on we've accepted we're going to have to replace it Sad

I think IKEA do very well in the Which tests, and they'll also let you swap it within 100 days if you don't like and it want one softer/firmer/more springs/more foam one. Best thing of all they come roll packed so you can't cart it home and don't have to wait in for delivery. They've recently overhauled their range and the new ones have more springs per m² then their predecessors.

Ps. I bought the £180 kingsized one, and it's lush.

BrownTableMat · 01/07/2022 14:47

Which ikea one in particular, please?

I got one from Feather and Black - as recommended on a thread like this - extra firm double £999 reduced to £300 - it's lovely

IKEA is crap. Pretty comfortable initially but says within a few years, we bought the more expensive range too. We then bought an Emma, far too hard, a Simba, which felt comfy initially but then did our backs in by morning.

We have now bought a wool mattresses from wool room and it's the most comfortable mattress we've ever slept on. Initially we thought it was a bit soft, but it's actually so comfortable. A few people have slept in it when looking after the farm and almost everyone has said the same thing, initially felt too soft but was incredibly comfortable.

They're not cheap, but worth every penny given how long we spend in it!

Says should be sags!

Mercurial123 · 01/07/2022 16:34

I've had my IKEA mattress for nearly five years, it's not sagging. It was one of their more expensive ranges. It's great value.

I had one awful one from ikea and one success, but both models have been discontinued.
