Menopause, but with contraceptive implant, 49

I have the implant in, so no periods, so I have no idea if they're slowing down, irregular etc.
No hot sweats to speak of, but massive mood changes, emotional, on and off bleeding,
I feel like I am on the verge of a breakdown, but cannot say why?
Been to GP who is doing bloods etc, but apart from change of periods how else would I know? Does the implant delay it?
I just feel - I don't know how I feel - I could run away and if you look at me the wrong way, I will kill you or cry.
It could be menopause, but I don't know if I am missing anything

Try tracking your symptoms in the balance app, there are loads more than irregular periods and hot flushes. I was very anxious and felt PMT-ish all the time. Started HRT about a year ago, it’s been life changing.

I used to have it, and asked the doctors how I'd know about menopause. They had no idea. I can't see how blood tests would help either, the implant is going to affect results, surely?

Would you swap to a Mirena coil ?
It massively helped my PMT that went wild in peri.

Thank you for your responses, sorry I didn't respond yesterday, I was in work

Will look at the app thank you

Not thought about the coil if I am honest. I will look into it

The bloods may not help as results swing wildly in perimenopause. Ask for a trial of HRT and see how you get on.

I have no advice but watching with interest I am in the same boat.
