What is this rash?

Sorry for posting in AIBU - I'm posting for traffic.

Posting on behalf of a friend - her son has come out in this rash. Didn't notice it there this morning. No change in skin / washing products. He says its stinging.

Any ideas please what this could be? He already takes antihistamine daily for something else. Small patch on his back also.

Shingles? How old is he?

He's 13. He has had chicken pox as a younger child.

Yep, looks classic for shingles. A one sided blister type rash in a line along the torso.

Looks like shingles to me. He will need anti virals asap.
