To think it's impossible to have really good skin with Rosacea?

I'm hoping to be told that IABU and that other people have managed it.

I'm in my early 30s and was diagnosed a few years ago. It's more or less under control. The odd flare up which usually subsides with cream, but definitely redness on my nose and chin when I don't have makeup on. I've always had ultra sensitive skin.

I've just been in Boots and am so envious of the face masks and creams and lotions that other women can buy. I've started noticing wrinkles around my eyes and would love to try a cream but am too scared it sets the rosacea off. I can't exfoliate or anything because if it, and, despite eating well and drinking buckets of water, I just can't get radiant looking skin because I can't risk putting any products on it except for the couple I know are safe.

Have any fellow sufferers who've achieved good skin got any advice?

I think my skin’s pretty good, using the Ordinary.

I take oxytetracycline tablets every day and now I have decent skin. The cream didn't work at all for me. I have no desire to use lotions etc though, I just wash with water and use a Clinique moisturiser. Since the pandemic I mostly work from home so not wearing makeup as much has also really helped. I'm also mid 30s and I was diagnosed about 6 years ago.

My skin sounds the exact same as yours, I'm having a particularly bad flare up at the minute as I've got to bed with make up on (gross I know) but what keeps my skin looking lovely is I use a lumi spa with the sensitive cleanser they sell and also the over night hydrating mask, it helps it look more radiant and much less red xx

Use SPF 50 or 100 every day of the year. If it contains zinc, this is very soothing and beneficial. I find less is more. Mostly Roche Posay. Nothing perfumed. Keep it very simple.

I’ve always had rosacea but it’s never “flared up”, but I use the following and since starting them I have clearer, younger skin:
COSRX Snail Mucin
E45 Lotion
Aveeno Lotion with Colloidal Oatmeal
Simple Face Wash

Wash with simple face wash, then apply snail mucin (soothing for eczema too) and then aveeno on top. Before applying makeup I always apply E45.
