Im pretty sure i have autism...
But I'm 45 so do I just let it go? Or look into a proper diagnosis as to why I am the way I am ..
I never mean to be rude, but I can be so wrong at reading the room or I say inappropriate things , I think if I was a child it would be picked up. But I'm not .. Do people my age get diagnosed ?
What do I do & how do I go about doing it ?

Print out your results and go to your GO and request one. Be prepared to plead your case. Explain how it would help you to get a diagnoses. Like with employment they would have to make reasonable adjustments for you. And then chase it up as much as you can as they will try to out you off.

Or you could go private if you have the finances its costs upto £1500. Just Google autism diagnoses in your area.

Do you think it would make a difference to your life if you had a diagnosis- positive or negative?. What would you want to happen as a result of getting the diagnosis?

I was diagnosed at 60. It's been very enlightening. I found out here on MN reading someone else's thread that I have something called impaired executive function. So I took pictures of my kitchen and bedroom to demonstrate the issue and showed them to my GP. He immediately referred me for assessment and I was very thoroughly tested. Yes, I have ASD.
