To ask for advice on how DS can get home from Leeds fest

DS is 16 and has just finished year 11. He's going to Leeds fest on the Friday this year. I have absolutely no issue with him going after the shit time people his age have had over the last two years- I will even buy the beers myself :). My issue is how will they get home (he's going with 3 friends). I can't pick up as I have a work commitment and I don't think any of the other parents can either. I am wondering how they can get home on the night? are there coaches or late night trains? Any advice would be appreciated. We're in the East Yorkshire area and posting for traffic.

There are usually buses that run to the city centre where they can catch a train, the traffic is usually awful so it’s probably a better option than trying to get there to collect them.

my son used it last year, there was a queue but he said it felt pretty safe and moved quick.

There's a bus from the festival to Leeds railway station - he just needs to get a ticket. The buses have a separate pick up place to cars and move much faster!

Maybe a hotel.room might be a better option ,Premier Inn or the like?

There's a whole page on their website

Google is your friend.

You can book a day coach ticket there and back with the big green coach - there’s one to Hull if that’s close to you?

Big Green Coach is your best bet, it picks up from the festival rather than needing to catch shuttle buses to the station which can be busy.
It's quite expensive if they're only using one leg of the journey but the safest way as they're all still quite young.

Shuttle bus into Leeds, overnight hotel (check if they accept 16 year olds in single sex groups) then home the next day

Big Green Coach is the company that usually does lifts from festivals and concerts. However, they will need to be responsible enough to get to the coach on time (likely quite a hike away from the main arena. I've not been to Leeds but have used them from Download. The hike isn't the problem; allowing the time is)

Under 18s are no longer allowed to book hotel rooms in a bid to stop child trafficking.
