8 month sleep regression

How do I handle this? I can’t put him down now at all he just screams and screams. I can’t get anything done and my poor 8 year old is just a feral being in the house somewhere while I try and get the baby to sleep then transfer to cot.

He has always had a feed, then gone into his cot and he’s cooed himself to sleep in about 3 minutes and that’s it.

Bow it’s taking me an hour and half to get him to sleep but then that’s if he’s stuck to me. I can’t put him down and am having to sleep again.

any tips? This is not sustainable! Or will it be over fairly quickly and he will be back to normal?

Maybe have a think about naps, whether they're missing their 'sleepy window' or maybe they need a later bedtime now.

To be honest though, if you have got a good routine and there are no underlying health issues, save yourself the stress of trying to figure out why or how to fix it and just ride it out. Baby sleep is developmental and designed to drive you crazy.
Do whatever it takes to get through and take as much pressure off yourself as possible.
