ill try to keep this short. I come from a large family, DH comes from a small family of 3 siblings
DD3 has special needs. She gets very lonely as she only really has me to play with her. She was an ivf baby if that matters.
i really want her to have a sibling so she isn’t lonely and has someone to grow up with.
DH has a low count which required the fertility treatment which is fine. No problem there. We stuck it out and have 3 embryos left but DH is adamant we dispose of them. DD was the first attempt so only embryo used.
i have many sleepless nights worrying that if something was to happen to DH and I tomorrow she would have no one left in this world. Yes she would have cousins, aunts, uncles etc but I feel like it’s just not the same.
AIBU to feel like if I pay the £1500 to use an embryo it would be worth giving it a go if it means DD won’t be all alone in the world. I have 9 siblings so there was always someone to turn to but from his angle as the oldest if something happens to us she will be left raising her siblings which I think is ridiculous.
he doesn’t want another child as I had hyperemesis so he thinks I couldn’t cope with a toddler and a pregnancy.
